Shivam Dube took the unusual path to return home from Ahmedabad after T20 World Cup victory. Even Indian cricketers usually fly on charter planes or booked flights, Dube face the problem when all flights from Ahmedabad to Mumbai were booked.
Flights Fully Booked Forced Shivam Dube to choose Train
Dube buy 3rd AC train tickets for the trip. Despite the chance of recognized by fans, he think that the train was best option. In a interview, he said that he initially tried to book flights for himself and his family, but none were available.
Family and Friends Worried About Recognition
“There were no flights, so I decided to take an early morning train from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. We could have gone by road, but the train was quicker,” Shivam Dube said.
Accompanied by his wife and a friend, Dube successfully secured 3rd AC tickets. However, his decision worried his friends and family. “Everyone we spoke to family and friends concerned. They kept asking, ‘What if someone recognizes you at the station or on the train?’”
