Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, at the 12th convocation ceremony of Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) on Tuesday, advised the young audience to welcome artificial intelligence and, at the same time not to lose their original thought. Mukesh Ambani’s advice to Gen Z emphasized that while AI can be a powerful tool, human intelligence remains irreplaceable.
Specifically, Ambani argued that continuous learning is not just a matter of opting but of being required in the fast-changing digital landscape today. He warned against overreliance on AI-driven tools, such as ChatGPT, and called for moderation.
Mukesh Ambani’s Advice to Gen Z
- “Use AI where needed, but remember, we progress not just with artificial intelligence, but with our own intelligence too,” he stated, as reported by Hindustan Times.
Scalable AI insights aside, Ambani unveiled a vision for the economic and environmental future of India. He also pointed out that by the end of the century, India would be one of the richest countries in the world. On the other hand, he said that economic growth can not be a gamble against the protection of the environment.
“India and other major economies have a duty to make sure that development is not a contributor to exacerbating the climate crisis”, he stated. He argued in favor of a rapid transition from fossil fuels to clean energy, expressing faith in the power of green technologies in restoring ecological homeostasis.
Ambani has been instrumental in inspiring institutions such as PDEU to strengthen research and development activities in sustainable solutions. Bio-energy is an outstanding industry that, in addition to its potential contribution to environmental sustainability, could generate employment, particularly in agriculture.
A Call for Lifelong Learning
Again emphasizing the need for adaptation in the age of artificial intelligence, Ambani encouraged students to develop a curious and lifelong learner’s perspective. “Continuous learning is not just an asset, continuous learning is a survival asset”, he said.
His message resonated as a call to action for young professionals to harness AI responsibly while keeping innovation and critical thinking at the forefront.
