Two people talked to each other in dreams for the first time: REMspace makes dream communication possible

Two people talked to each other in dreams for the first time REMspace makes dream communication possible

The California-based company REMspace revolutionizes dream communication with its invention. With the help of this technology, two people talked to each other in dreams for the first time. The company focused on sleep improvement and lucid dreaming was successful enough to enable two people to be contacted in a single line of communication while they are sleeping and now permits them to talk back and forth with one another. Lucid dreaming is when the individual is of the feeling that he is dreaming and can possibly control the dream.

REMs or rapid eye movements; a stage marked by very active activity in the brain, it is also when lucid dreams first occurred. Lucid dreams were studied at length due to supposed applications into problem-solving and the acquiring of skills. Science, however, marked this as one gigantic leap forward into understanding and exploiting that state through the achievement of REMspace.

The participants have their brainwaves and biological data recorded through the equipment. The records will then be transmitted to a server that recognizes when the participants are in a lucid dream state, on which a message back to the participants during their dream is generated. This way, two people were able to talk to each other in their dreams.

Two people talked to each other in dreams: How is it possible?

This technology, as envisioned by Michael Raduga, the CEO of REMspace, may revolutionise our views regarding human interactions while sleeping. The test was made on two separate people in houses located somewhere; their brain waves monitored remoter, going into a server. Then at the moment someone entered his lucid dream, the experiment sent a random word through the headphonic earbuds to the dreaming person. Then that person, being in his dream state, repeated the word aloud, which was recorded and then delivered to the other person.

REMspace said it has succeeded to reproduce the experience with another pair of subjects, showing that this dream communication was indeed possible. Although the company has not made public how the equipment and special language were designed, the achievement is one major breakthrough for the field.

Such implications make this technology significant. It may indeed allow new avenues for commercial applications in dream interaction, such as collaborative problem-solving or even entertainment. Further validation by independent researchers is, however needed to solidify these findings.

The role of REMspace in such a future is to change how people interact during sleep, with dream communication becoming a reality. According to Michael Raduga, this may also be the beginning of a new paradigm for sleep and cognitive technologies. Critical to the approach used by REMspace was the reliance on brainwaves to determine the state of dreaming while being tested. Success in this regard calls for a re-questioning of the limits of dream communication technology.
