DMRC responds on Saturday on Viral Video show people jump over exit gates at Jama Masjid metro station. Says it was a temporary surge in the number of passengers for a short time. The incident occurs on the Violet Line of DMRC on 13 February. In the videos, a large number of people are seen jumping over the automated fare collection (AFC) gates, with many filming acts on their phones.
“There was temporary surge of passengers for a short time on Thursday evening when some of the people pass over AFC gates to exit. The security employees and other staff were present to counsel the passengers. Anuj Dayal, DMRC’s principal executive director (corporate communications), said,” situation was never out of control. It was a momentary reaction of some passengers because of the sudden surge near the AFC Gates, he said.
DMRC responds over video and Police arrests people involved in Metro cable theft
After DMRC responds on video, Delhi Police’s Metro Unit arrested three men involved in metro cable theft along metro tracks. The accused regarded as Govind Kumar alias Spiderman (24), Sushil Kumar (29), and Aas Mohammad (29), were responsible to steal the copper cables. It causes disruptions in metro services.
