What’s wrong with Airlines?
This incident occurred during a challenging week for air travelers across the country. On Monday alone, over 450 IndiGo flights were canceled, making it the seventh straight day of significant disruptions at airports.
The airline explained that the issue stemmed from a lack of cockpit crew after new rest rules for pilots were put in place under the Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) regulations. The government has since paused these new rules, and IndiGo expects operations to return to normal by December 10.
