Ten people, including the shooter killed and at least 25 injured in Canada School Shooting on Wednesday, police said. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) reported that the suspect, identified as a woman in a dress with brown hair found dead on school grounds from what appears to be a self-inflicted injury.

Six victims discovered dead at the school, one died en route to the hospital, and two found dead in a nearby residence, according to the police. Two individuals airlifted to the hospital with serious or life-threatening injuries.
The Tumbler Ridge police issued a 2 pm alert following the incident, which occurred around 1:20 pm local time at the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. They described the suspect as a female wearing a dress with brown hair. Residents instructed to stay indoors, lock their doors, and avoid going outside. The shelter-in-place order lifted around five hours later, allowing people to resume their daily activities.
Police investigation starts
Authorities are still trying to determine if a second suspect involved and how many victims there may be. In Tumbler Ridge, a town with about 2,400 residents, additional police resources are brought in from nearby areas. The school will remain closed for the week.
RCMP’s North District chief superintendent Ken Floyd stated that around 100 people, including staff and students safely evacuated from the school. He noted that the police are still trying to understand what triggered the shooting. “We have multiple layers of support coming for our students, for our teachers, for our community of Tumbler Ridge,” said Floyd.
Later, a ninth-grade student told that he had to hide in a closet with other children during Canada School Shooting incident.
