Alito alleged US Supreme Court for Blocking deportation by Trump Administration

Alito alleged US Supreme Court majority for blocking off the Trump administration from deporting a group of Venezuelan migrants with an emergency rule in the early morning hours of weekend.

Alito’s arrived late night Saturday, almost 24 hours after the Supreme Court quickly barred the authorities from deporting a group of accused Venezuelan gang members under a not often used wartime regulation called the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.

Alito alleged US Supreme Court

“In sum, literally in the middle of the night, the Court issued more ordinary and legally questions without giving the lower courts a chance to rule, without hearing from the party, in 8 hours of receiving the application, with dubious factual help for its order, and without giving any reason for its order,” Alito wrote in the dissent, which was also joined by Justice Clarence Thomas.

Alito and Thomas are members of the court’s 6-3 conservative majority. American Civil Liberties Union lawyers had asked the high courtroom to intervene on an emergency foundation, arguing that number of Venezuelan migrants faced imminent deportation while not having a practical opportunity to contest their removal, regardless of a preceding Supreme Court ruling that they need to be allowed judicial analysis.

“The Government is directed not to eliminate any member of the putative category of detainees from the United States till further order of this Court,” the justices said in an unsigned decision issued around 12:55 A.M. (0455 GMT) on Saturday.

Trump deports Venezuelan migrants

After Alito alleged US Supreme Court, White House replied that President Donald Trump could live the course in his immigration crackdown; however, it gave no on-the-spot indication that the administration would defy the Supreme Court, appearing for now to avoid an potential constitutional crisis among coequal branches of government.

Although it was unclear where the Venezuelan migrants were headed, the Trump administration already has deported to a security jail in El Salvador more than 200 Venezuelan and Salvadoran men it claims are gang members.
