A bomb threat stopped all departures to Philadelphia International Airport temporary, according to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA later said that the ground stop was lifted once the security issue was resolved. The FAA’s advisory did not provide any additional details about the bomb threat. The airport has not yet replied to the agency’s request for a comment.

Earlier this month, several other US airports also received bomb threats. In early November, operations at Reagan Washington National Airport were paused after a bomb threat targeting a United Airlines flight. The FBI said at the time that its investigation found no hazardous materials.
On the same day, a Delta flight leaving LaGuardia International Airport was evacuated before takeoff due to a bomb threat.

A police spokesperson said the temporary halt was due to a situation that needed help from the Philadelphia International Airport to aboard a plane.
