Canadian MP Chandra Arya raises concerns over safety of Hindus in Canada amid Khalistani extremism, As a Hindu Member of Parliament, Arya says he too has faced such apprehensions. As per his statements, the threat is growing and it has been a concern for the Hindus. Arya, however, lashed at the political patronization doled out to the radical elements.
Chandra Arya can raise concern for the safety of Hindus in Canada. He discussed in his first-hand experience, attending a Hindu event with RCMP officers as sentinels. The event unfolded when a group of Khalistani protesters held a public protest against him in Edmonton. His comments reveal wider apprehension of the Hindu community, who feel unsafe after the extremist activities have gained momentum all over the country. He added:
There’s a violent, extremist threat in Canada that Canada and India have been working on over the years. However, recent revelations and developments are impacting Canada and India’s ability to collaborateon this issue. It is critical that we all recognize the importance of eliminating cross-border threats posedby Khalistani extremism and resume our efforts to address it effectively.”

Arya was also against the involvement of external state actors in Canadian affairs, as he felt that interference from them should never be allowed. He has described how political leaders have not reacted to the threat issued by these factors. However, Arya’s concerns relating to the safety and well-being of Hindus in Canada are not just of a nationalist character but also an issue that requires urgent attention of the government.
Political support is the reason extremist forces were able to survive, said Arya, voicing a universal sense of unease. Chandra Arya reminds as a cautioning as well as urging for collective action to ensure Hindus safety in Canada, said Arya while making an appeal to Hindu-Canadians. He urged them to speak up and added that it is essential that the community demands accountability from the politicians.
The MP ended by promising to present the case of the Hindus, but this needs individual action and therefore not enough. Chandra Arya raises concerns over the safety of Hindus in Canada and calls for collective action for the sake of the rights and security of the Hindu diaspora. His statements read:
I pledge to do my best to advocate on your behalf. However, my efforts alone are not enough. The onlyway to have our concerns addressed is for Hindu-Canadians to raise their voices and hold all politiciansaccountable. Together, we must ensure that our safety and interests are protected.”
