The China drone light show held over Shenzhen Bay Park on September 26, 2024, mesmerised the crowd. Under the theme “City of Sky, Maybe Shenzhen,” the show was marked by 10,197 drones, creating two new Guinness World Records in the process. For, the new drone light show set the most multirotor/drones airborne simultaneously from a single computer” and the largest aerial image formed by drones.
One of the major attractions of the show was the floating “Sky City” formation. Drones projected China’s landmarks and symbols of culture. Wing Chun martial arts formed what symbolizes the future with no bounds across this city, where ancient meets modern. The celebration was a part of China’s National Day celebration, which has already shown the eyes of the world towards it. Even Tesla’s chief Elon Musk complimented China for its brilliant light show.
China drone light show depicts beautiful images of culture
The China drone light show displayed mesmerizing images of landmarks such as the Great Wall of China and cultural tributes including a dragon and tiger formation. The drones, controlled by one computer, held a tiger image in the sky for 37 seconds – a record.
A seven-day light show by a Chinese drone will light up the sky above five districts in Shenzhen. Drones will build aesthetic images every day, certainly creating memorable moments for people standing by to watch. Besides this display of technological power by China, the show speaks volumes for the country’s cultural wealth, such as tributes to Yanbian, a Korean autonomous prefecture.
Besides the drones, cyber fireworks also gave the event a futuristic feel to it. The China drone light show, in fact, underscores Shenzhen’s leading role globally in all tech innovation fields as it leaves everyone witnessing it in awe.
