Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday extended condolences to his Indian counterpart Droupadi Murmu and PM Narendra Modi over Air India flight crash, China’s official said.
Xi also send condolences to Britain’s King Charles III, as the London-sure flight from Ahmedabad with 230 passengers to London’s Gatwick crashed shortly after take-off on Thursday afternoon.

The Boeing 787-8 flight carry 242 passengers and crew members. The passengers comprised 169 Indians, 53 British nationals, 7 Portuguese, and one Canadian. There is only one survivor — Vishwas Kumar Ramesh, a British national.
There has been an outpouring of grief from score of world leaders in the wake of the catastrophic flight crash, considered one of India’s worst aviation failures.
Many Lives Lost after plane hit to Medical Hostel
Apart from those on the doomed flight, various killed and injured on the ground because the plane plowed into a medical hostel in a residential area in Ahmedabad.
Chinese President Xi Jinping said the crash of the plane carrying several British nationals “devastating” and his “mind and heart” are with the ones affected.
In an announcement on X, King Charles said, “My partner and I worried over by the crash in Ahmedabad this morning. Our prayers and sympathy are with the families and friends of all those tormented by this appallingly tragic incident across so many countries as they wait for information about their loved ones.”
