Former Pentagon official slams Trump administration to not blocked $1 billion bailout to Pakistan

US military strategist and former Pentagon professional Michael Rubin has slammed the Trump administration for not blocking a $1 billion bailout to Pakistan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), calling the decision a prime mistake given Pakistan’s terrorism links.

In an op-ed for the American Enterprise Institute post Wednesday, Rubin, who is a senior fellow at the institute, stated, “By sending cash to Pakistan, the IMF is bailing out China. “

Why Ex Pentagon official called out Trump administration

Pakistan is toady a satrapy of China and its China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has put Islamabad $40 billion in the case.” His opinion came days after the IMF accepted the first overview of its $7 billion programme with Pakistan, clearing the way for a $1 billion coin disbursement, whilst tensions with India flared up following the Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 people dead.

Rubin went on to mention that the IMF investment got here quickly after Pakistan-based terrorists infiltrated India and targeted civilians, and freeing the funds not only helps a “terror-addled, pro-China regime” but also undermines US overseas coverage goals. “This isn’t pretty much Pakistan; it’s around the IMF thumbing its nose at President Donald Trump,” he said, signaling the case that Trump has currently claimed that he is seeking to de-escalate tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad.

IMF Financial support to Pakistan

Last week, before the IMF authorised the financial help to Pakistan, Rubin had warned against funding Islamabad. “When an alcoholic uses donations to buy hard liquor, the solution isn’t to up his allowance, it is to cut him off,” he wrote, showing that the IMF must take the same approach with Pakistan.

Rubin also joined multiple defence specialists in assessing that India came out more potent from a short 4-day conflict. “Pakistan went walking like a scared dog with its tail between its legs going for walks for a ceasefire,” he said in a video message, rejecting claims from Islamabad and slams Trump administration.
