Rumors and speculation about the death of Pakistan’s jailed former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, have circulated online. An Afghan media report claimed he was killed inside Adiala Jail. Now, Imran Khan’s Son Anger on Pak Government and demands proof of life and his father’s release.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Kasim Khan said that it has been 845 days since his father was imprisoned. For the last month and a half, he has been held in a death cell without any contact with family.

“For the past six weeks, he has been alone in a death cell, completely isolated. His sisters have been denied every meeting, despite clear court orders. There have been no phone calls, no meetings, and no news about his well-being. My brother and I have not been able to reach our father in any way,” Kasim wrote.

Adiala Jail authorities rejected the death claims on Thursday, insisting that Imran Khan is in “completely good health.”

“The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership has been updated about Imran Khan’s health. We are providing all necessary care to the PTI chief,” the Adiala Jail administration said in a statement.

They also clarified that the reports about moving Imran Khan from Adiala Jail are entirely unfounded. “Imran Khan is in Adiala Jail and is healthy. The rumours on social media about his transfer are not true,” the jail administration said.

Imran Khan has been in custody since August 2023 and faces multiple charges that he argues are politically motivated. He was convicted in a corruption case in January, receiving a 14-year sentence, while his wife received seven years.
