In a ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, the Israeli military said on Tuesday that it had killed Ali Shadmani. He is Iran’s top army commander and a key aide to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The airstrike reportedly centered on an high-stage command center in central Tehran during an overnight operation.

According to an announcement released by the Israeli army, Shadmani was the most senior military commander in Iran and had served as Chief of Staff, overseeing both the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian defense force. The navy described him as “the closest aide to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.”
The statement claimed the strike became completed following “a unexpected opportunity in a single day,” ensuing in the removal of Shadmani and probably others available on the command centre.
Israel Airstrikes Increase Risk on Iran
Ali Shadmani dying marks one of the most significant blows to Iran’s army leadership in recent years. It cause tensions in the already risky area. Neither Iran’s government nor its national media had shown or responded to the file at the time of publishing.
