Today on 15 December, PM Modi started a visit to Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman. These countries have strong cultural ties and excellent bilateral relations with India.
“First, I will visit Jordan, at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein. This important visit will celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between our two countries,” the Prime Minister said in his departure statement.
Modi on 3 Nation Tour
Mr. Modi will have detailed discussions with Jordanian King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, as well as meet Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah.
During his first visit to Ethiopia, the Prime Minister will address a Joint Session of Parliament. He will share his thoughts on India’s journey as the “Mother of Democracy” and discuss the value that the India-Ethiopia partnership can bring to the Global South.

The Prime Minister will also meet with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali and connect with the Indian community there. “On the final part of my journey, I will visit the Sultanate of Oman. My visit will celebrate 70 years of diplomatic ties between India and Oman,” Mr. Modi said.
In Muscat, the Prime Minister will meet with the Sultan of Oman to strengthen their Strategic Partnership and enhance commercial and economic relations. “I will also speak to the Indian community in Oman, which has played a significant role in the country’s development and in improving our partnership,” Modi said.
