A second US military transport aircraft will schedule to land today at Amritsar International Airport. It deports the 119 Indian nationals. According to reports, Second US Plane Deport 119 Indians on 15 feb today, and marks the another phase of ongoing crackdown of US government on Illegal immigrants.
What to Expect from US Plane Deport 119 Indians
The deportations of Illegal immigrants will continue every other week till the all illegal immigrants will returned to their home countries. As per sources, the deportees consist 67 persons from Punjab, 33 from Haryana, 8 from Gujarat, 3 from Uttar Pradesh, 2 each from Rajasthan and Maharashtra, and 1 each from Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
The reason behind deportations is the ongoing crackdown by US immigration officials on individuals who entered the US in an illegal manner. The deportations come in the instant wake of Indian PM Narendra Modi’s visit to the US. In the US- India Meeting, they discuss about the key bilateral issues, include immigration.
What behind controversy
The treatment during US Plane Deport 119 Indians, in handcuffs and shackles cause controversies between countries. US Immigration defends this treatment as the standard security protocol that they use during deportation and prevents disruptions. The Critics argue that this practice is excessive and inhumane, especially for people who commit no crimes beyond violations
