A US Citizen hijacks Tropic Air plane in Belize on Thursday at knifepoint before being fatally shot by a passenger, Reuters suggested, mentioning the police. The assailant, identified as US citizen Akinyela Sawa Taylor, pulled a knife while the aircraft was in the air, annoying the domestic flight taking him overseas.
The Tropic Air aircraft was wearing 14 passengers and team contributors. It was flying from Corozal, a small town near Belize’s border with Mexico, heading to the famous traveler destination of San Pedro when it became hijacked, per the Associated Press.

According to Police Commissioner Chester Williams, Taylor stabbed three people on board, together with the pilot and the passenger who shot Taylor with a certified firearm. As the drama opened up in the skies, the plane rotated randomly for nearly hours before landing correctly.
The injured passengers and the pilot have been being treated at a hospital for their injuries, as per officers. Williams said that the passenger who managed to shoot at Taylor was stabbed in his return and suffered a puncture to his lungs. He remains in critical condition.
“We are praying for him,” Williams told reporters. “He’s our hero.” The officer delivered that it remains doubtful how Taylor boarded the plane with a knife, even though he recounted that the US’s smaller airstrips lacked protection to absolutely seek passengers.

He was listed online as formerly being a soccer coach at the McCluer North High School in Florissant, Missouri.
