A senior Trump advisor said this, highlighting Khamenei and Mojtaba, who seen as a possible successor to his father. However, the advisor emphasized that no final decision made. “The President hasn’t decided to strike yet. I know that because we haven’t struck. He might never do it. He might wake up tomorrow and say, ‘That’s it,’” the source said, stressing the changing nature of the discussions.

The report noted that the US Defense Department has presented several military options to Trump. “They have something for every scenario,” the advisor said, adding that the final decision remains unclear. “What the President chooses, no one knows. I don’t think he knows.” A second source confirmed that a plan to kill Khamenei and his son discussed with Trump several weeks ago, indicating that this possibility has been considered for some time.

Tensions rise

He intensified his warning to Iran, stating Tehran must agree to a meaningful nuclear deal or “bad things will happen.” This comes as indirect talks continue in Geneva, Switzerland, to ease rising tensions. US and Iranian officials are involved in back-channel negotiations aimed at resolving a growing nuclear standoff. Washington is urging Tehran to dismantle or significantly limit its nuclear program, arguing that its enrichment activities and increasing stockpiles pose proliferation risks.
