The Mahindra XEV 9S has launched in India, starting at Rs 19.95 lakh. This 7 seater SUV is touted as India’s first true electric 7-seater SUV designed from the ground up on the INGLO architecture. The brand has built excitement with teasers before the launch. Bookings for the Mahindra XUV 9S will start on January 14, 2026, and deliveries will begin on January 23, 2026.
Mahindra XEV 9S launched with three battery packs
The Mahindra XEV 9S offers three battery pack options: 59 kWh, 70 kWh, and 79 kWh. The 59 kWh battery can deliver a peak power of 170 kW, the 70 kWh battery provides 180 kW, and the 79 kWh battery promises 210 kW of peak power.
The XEV 9S features a modern, electric-focused design with a blanked-out grille, L-shaped LED DRLs, and vertically stacked projector headlamps. A sleek LED light bar runs across the front. Flush door handles and aerodynamic alloys add a touch of sophistication. Roof rails, a shark-fin antenna, and Mahindra Electric logos at both ends enhance its unique look.
50: 50 split seats and design for premium experience
The Mahindra XEV 9S offers impressive cabin space, providing 4076 litres across the front and second rows. It includes a spacious 527-litre boot and a best-in-class 150-litre frunk, ensuring plenty of room for every trip. The third row features flexible 50:50 split seats, adding to its practical, family-friendly design.
Inside, the Mahindra XEV 9S delivers a premium rear-seat experience with features designed for comfort and convenience. Passengers benefit from powered Boss Mode, ventilated second-row seats with recline and sliding adjustments, and dedicated sunshades for privacy.
