CCTV Footage Captures Shocking Incident of Ola Scooter
The undated CCTV footage shows the electric scooter parked next to a road. A man is seated in the vehicle, waiting for his toddler. Just as the child climbs onto the footboard and the father gets ready to start the ride, thick white smoke begins to pour from underneath the seat.
In a quick reaction, the father grabs the toddler and jumps away from the vehicle. Moments later, a fire breaks out beneath the scooter’s seat, with flames visible near the tire. Bystanders quickly threw water on the burning vehicle, preventing a major tragedy.
Growing Safety Concerns
Fortunately, the family escaped without injuries. This is not the first time the EV company has faced criticism; similar incidents have occurred in Pune and Bengaluru over the last few years. Ola Scooter has not issued a specific statement regarding the Solapur incident. However, the company has historically claimed that its battery packs have several safety features and meet global standards.
