Details regarding the number of persons in the car are sketchy, and the government has yet to determine how the fire started. The entire cabin of the orange-colored Lamborghini was up in flames, and this was evident from the video uploaded by Gautam Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of Raymond Group.
Singhania, known for his passion for cars, has been critical about the safety measures of the Lamborghini on his microblog site:
“Spotted by me: A Lamborghini engulfed in flames on Coastal Road, Mumbai. Incidents like this raise serious concerns about the reliability and safety standards of Lamborghini. For the price and reputation, one expects uncompromising quality, not potential hazards.”
