State Bank of India (SBI) customers faced disruptions today in internet and mobile banking services. It is for the second time this month because of “technical issues”. The glitch affected customers in country, affects mobile banking and fund transfers. Data confirmed a reports on SBI Mobile Banking Services Disrupts, occurs between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM IST. The majority of issues were associated with mobile banking (64%), followed by fund transfers (33%) and ATM issues (3%). Customers took to social media to complain around failed transactions and problems while access to their bills.
NPCI Said about SBI Mobile Banking Services
NPCI has issued an confirmation about a few banks dealing with transaction problems. Said, “Today, due to financial year remaining, some of the banks are dealing with intermittent transaction declines. The UPI device is working well, and we’re working with the banks for important redressal.”
This isn’t the first time SBI customers have encountered such issues. On March 11th, State Bank of India’s clients faced difficulties accessing UPI and mobile banking services for over 4 hours.
Technical Glitches occur 2nd time in Month
“Technical issues with SBI Mobile Banking Services stand resolved and it has been working well in view that 5 P.M.,” the bank, which offerings 50 crore customers, said in a declaration on that day. The lender regretted the inconvenience induced to the customers. The real purpose for the technical problems become not immediately confirmed.
It can be mentioned that the sector regulator has been pressing banks to ensure seamless connectivity and make investments sufficiently in the backend to make this possible. The RBI has been insisting on curbing such outages and also reduce the time taken for resolution of such disruptions and taking very stern moves towards errant entities if it reveals non-compliance.
