Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff get legal notice for appearance in Vimal Pan Masala Ads. The district consumer disputes redressal forum in Jaipur has issue notices to three actors, and chairman of Vimal Gutkha brand manufacturer JB Industries, ask them to appear on 19 March. As per TOI report, B Town stars has serve notice over alleged misleading ad. It claims that every grain of pan masala consists “ saffron”. HT not verify this information independently.
The ad tag lines says, “dane dane mein hai kesar ka dum”. While hear the complaint of petitioner Yogendra Singh Badiyal, a Jaipur resident, consumer forum chairperson Gyarsilal Meena and member Hemlata Agarwal issued the order.
Legal Notice issue for Vimal Pan Masala Ads
The petitioner alleged that ads features SRK, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff. The complaint filled claims that the pan masala ads consists ‘saffron’. As per petitioner, the price of fron is around ₹4 lakh per kg and the Pan Masala with Tobacco pouch costs ₹5.
In such a case, forget about adding saffron, even fragrance can not added to it, as per reports. As per complainant, the “misleading” ad is shown so that more and more people buy combo of tobacco pouch and pan masala and manufacturer gets profit
What the petitioner alleged?
The complaint filled against actors, for spreading false propaganda” by show presence of saffron in Vimal Pan Masala Ads. The complaint alleged that the manufacturer is conducts business worth crores of rupees, where the common people invite diseases like cancer by consume combo of tobacco and pan masala. The complainant alleged that, in such a situation, it is advertising it by claiming that it consists saffron to mislead the common people
