On Wednesday, Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee have attend meeting with FICCI, CII representatives and industry leaders. She attend meeting ahead of 8th edition of Two day Bengal Business Summit 2025 (BGBS), that starts in afternoon. The two day business summit is schedule to take place from 5February in Kolkata. The aim behind BGBS is to promote the investment in west Bengal state.
Mamata Banerjee Highlights Importance of Bengal Business Summit 2025
While attend meeting with famous business tycoons, Banerjee focus on importance of summit in her facebook post, and highlights the status as worthy investment promotion platform.
It attracts the global attention of more than 5,000 delegates. It consists famous representatives from 40 countries, gather in Kolkata on first day of summit. It also consists of the presence of 20 high commissioners, ambassadors and Indian business leaders. It contributes to growing economic status of West Bengal.
Business Summit Promote the Investments
As per Bengal Business Summit 2025 website, West Bengal is most fastest-growing states in terms of economic development, and Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of state will expected to reach Rs 18.79 lakh crore in 2024-25.
Banerjee has shared on facebook, and state, “ Bengal Global Business Summit is much awaited event, and special meeting of the National Executive Committees of the Apex Chambers of Commerce and Industry, FCCI and CII. I joined it to encourage investments in state by national industry leaders. We dream to make Bengal the destination, she said.
On Tuesday night, she post on social media, and mentioned that over 5,000 delegates, include representatives from 40 countries attend this business meeting in Kolkata. She also said, “20 ambassadors and high commissioners also come to attend to represent their countries. The famous Indian business leaders are also gather in Kolkata, she said.
