The men was lynched near the Bhatra Kallurti Temple in Kudupu location on April 27 after shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” in cricket match. His body was determined later, prompting a big-scale police probe. At least 15 people had been arrested, with more suspects under investigation currently.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara confirmed the incident was under severe research. “The victim’s identity is still unknown, and we don’t yet know if he was a neighborhood or from outside the state,” he stated. Based on preliminary reports, Parameshwara said, the person allegedly shouted slogans all through the match, which brought about the mob attack.

He also request the public to stay calm. “We don’t but have complete clarity on what came about or who was involved. It’s too early to link it to any precise network. This region has a legacy of communal amity, and that should be preserved.”

According to eyewitnesses, a scuffle broke out between the victim and a person named Sachin, which soon escalated into a group attack. Eyewitnesses said a few bystanders tried to stop the attack. However, a group persisted, beating the man with sticks and kicks. A press observation through the police discovered that Sachin, a 26-year-old local resident, was one of the 15 arrested so far.
