Officials said on Monday that six rebels of banned underground organisations, including four near the Indo-Myanmar border, arrested from the Tanganapal district of Manipur.
The four valley-based rebel groups belonged to three separate banned underground organisations, named Sekmai’s theoba Singh (20), the Kanglipak Communist Party-Metey Finging Lamy Gut (KCP-MFL), Pukhrambum Tondonoba Singh (19 )’s Nach, Bishpur district (19 )’s Empal West, and KH of Bishpur district (19). Theothoiba Singh (18) Pallal, Kaking District; Mayangalangbam Borish Singh (21) Kaking Vyari, Kakching District.

Meanwhile, on the same day, two active cadres of the Kangalipak Communist Party-Apunba faction (KCP-Apunba), ie Angom Silky Devi (22) and Oime Neer Neerjit Singh aka Alex Alex, also arrested in Imphal West.
Officials confirmed that they involved in the forced recovery and the recruitment of youth who involved in their organisations. Officials said the rebels arrested on the basis of large-scale intelligence-based discovery operations by NAB of those involved in forced recovery and criminal activities in the state.
