Villagers Protest, Block Roads after Manisha murder case in Bhiwani's Singhani village

Public anger continues in Bhiwani’s Sinhani village after a brutal Manisha murder. After the protests on Sunday, a mahapanch held on Monday. In the meeting, former BJP minister JP Dalal assured the victim’s family to get justice, but the meeting insisted that the killers must arrested first. The market remained closed over the weekends as the local people accused the police of dragging their feet in the investigation.

Manisha murder, Murderers throat slit

Manisha’s body found with her neck on 13 August in a ground in Singhani. While Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has ordered the suspension of five officers on the transfer of Bhiwani SP and handling of the case, opposition leaders alleged that the measures inadequate.

On August 11, Manisha left her school to visit a nearby nursing college to inquire about a course, but did not return home.

People protest against the Manisha case being unresolved

The villagers block road and protest to demands justice over Manisha murder case. On Saturday, a mahapanch near Digawa Mandi demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits. On Sunday, the villagers blocked the Delhi-Pilani Road to demand for justice. Police said six teams formed to investigate the case and confirmed that a post-mortem test held in PGIM Rohtak.
