As many as 350 players up for auction at the IPL 2026 Mini-Auction on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. The initial list consists 1,355 players, and the BCCI asked the 10 franchises to submit names they wanted for the auction. After consulting, the list trimmed, and 25 new names that not on the initial list now added.

Among the 25 new names, which include 23 Indians and 12 overseas players, is South African Quinton de Kock. He was not on the original list. The wicketkeeper-batter returned to international cricket after coming out of retirement, and he got added following a recommendation from an IPL franchise. “The auction feature 350 players and starts at 1 PM UAE time (2:30 PM IST) on Tuesday, December 16, at the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi.
Four New Sri Lankan Players added in auction list
The IPL 2026 Mini-Auction will start at 2:30 PM IST, with capped players available for signing first. The accelerated round will begin after player number 70, Wahidullah Zadran. There are four Sri Lankans among the new names: Dunith Wellalage, Traveen Mathew, Binura Fernando, and Kusal Perera.
Three-time IPL champions KKR enter the auction with the biggest purse of Rs 64.3 crore, followed by Chennai Super Kings with Rs 43.4 crore and Sunrisers Hyderabad with Rs 25.5 crore. A total of 77 slots are available, including 31 for overseas players.
