The Mumbai Police arrested a 28-year-old man from the North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal for reportedly making over 50 bomb threats to institutions and public infrastructure across India.

Officials say the suspect, Sourav Vishwas believed to have sent a series of threatening emails in the past five days. He targeted various locations, including schools, metro stations, and the stock exchange in Mumbai and other cities.
Authorities mentioned that the messages aimed to create panic and fear among the public. Police officials reported that the emails sent to establishments in Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, and other regions of the country.
Investigators think the suspect made more than 50 threats in a short time, prompting security agencies to enhance vigilance at many sensitive locations.
Threat prompted an immediate response
Officials from the Dindoshi Police Station in Mumbai said that on February 27 at around 8:46 a.m., an email warning of bombs set off within two days was sent to several schools and metro stations in Mumbai, as reported by the news agency.
The message triggered an urgent security alert, leading authorities to commence a thorough investigation and register a case. During the probe, investigators conducted technical analysis and email tracking to trace the origin of the message.
