The 47th meeting of the National Skills Qualifications Committee (NSQC) took place in New Delhi. The Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry announced that the meeting reviewed the qualifications submitted by different National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) recognized Awarding Bodies.

The committee also discussed various agenda points related to revising and extending existing qualifications, National Occupational Standards, and Micro-credentials. During the meeting, Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, emphasized the important role of the NSQC.

She mentioned that the discussions and decisions made during this session show the Government’s commitment to advancing skilling programs.
She also noted that this work helps create a workforce. It meets global standards and is closely connected to industry needs. The NSQC aimed to improve learning and training in the skilling ecosystem by introducing concepts like Artificial Intelligence, multi-skilling, and sustainability.
