CBSE Extends Class 12 Answer Photocopy Deadline to May 24 Amid Portal Glitches

CBSE announced on May 22 that the last date to apply for scanned Class 12 answer sheets has been extended from May 23 to May 24, 2026. The board mentioned “unprecedented traffic” and unauthorized attempts that disrupted the portal’s functioning. This is the second extension after similar issues previously delayed access for many students.

CBSE Extends Class 12 Answer Photocopy Deadline

Within just three hours of the portal opening on May 20, CBSE received 127,146 applications for 387,399 scanned answer books. While the system is now stable, initial surges caused payment failures and login errors for many applicants. The extension aims to ensure that no student misses the opportunity due to these early disruptions.

Verification and re-evaluation to follow

After receiving scanned copies, students will have up to two days to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation. The application window for these services will run from May 26 to May 29, according to CBSE schedule. Candidates are advised to use the marking scheme to spot issues before submitting their requests.
