The Indian Air Force (IAF) will help transport question papers for the NEET UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Thursday. He emphasized the government’s focus on improving security and preventing leaks in exam processes.
IAF securely transport NEET-UG Re-Exam Papers
Speaking to a media channel, Pradhan explained that the government uses a coordinated approach involving many departments, including the postal system, the Home Ministry, and state governments, to ensure the examinations run smoothly and fairly.
“In previous examinations, the postal department, the Home Ministry, and state governments played a major role. We have relied on their assistance before and will continue with this coordinated approach to ensure smooth, free, and fair examinations,” he said.
He also stated that due to logistical and security concerns, especially regarding weather conditions in June, the Indian Air Force will be involved in the secure transportation of question papers.
Ensure timely question papers
“The work previously handled by the postal department now supported by the Indian Air Force, ensuring that question papers arrive on time, considering all factors. The government is serious and fully prepared to conduct free and fair examinations,” Pradhan said.
Earlier that day, a high-level meeting took place between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. They discussed measures to prevent paper leaks and improve examination security. During the meeting, they also considered the proposal to involve the IAF in managing question paper logistics.
