The new film Krishnavataram Part 1 made tax-free in Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi Adityanath announced this decision after attending a special screening of the film at LokBhavan. The state government plans to organize special screenings in various districts so that children and young people can connect with Indian culture and heritage.

Directed by Hardik Gajjar, the film released on May 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It features Siddharth Gupta, Sanskruti, Sushmitha Bhatt, and Nivaashiyni Krishnan in lead roles, while Jackie Shroff and Ashutosh Rana play important parts.
At the special screening, alongside CM Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, several cabinet ministers, BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary, and various public representatives were present.
How does makers react?
During the screening, the auditorium echoed with chants of “Krishna-Krishna” and “Radhe-Radhe.” Yogi Adityanath congratulated the film’s artists on stage. CM noted that the film shows Lord Krishna’s life from a human viewpoint. It portrays the Dwapar era, Sanatan culture, and Indian traditions on a large scale.
Responding to the announcement, the makers wrote on X, “With immense gratitude, we honored to share that Krishnavataram declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh by Hon’ble CM Adityanathji.
