Meet the India’s Youngest Billionaire at 37: Nikhil Kamath

In his 37th year, Nithin Kamath, co-founder of Zerodha, is officially the India’s youngest billionaire. The combined net worth of Nithin and Nikhil Kamath, ranked 40 among India’s 100 richest people, is $5.5 billion, according to Forbes’ latest list. A startup Zerodha was founded in 2010 which had revolutionized the equity investing at zero-cost.

There is good news for young entrepreneurs specially those looking for funds for their business! Zerodha CEO Nikhil Kamath unveiled the “WTF Fund” initiative on Wednesday, which offers opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs in a variety of sectors, including beauty, fashion, and home. He posted this information on his LinkedIn profile.

As part of his LinkedIn account, India’s youngest billionaire Nikhil Kamath, who is also co-founder of True Beacon and Gruhas, announced the “WTF Fund” initiative on October 11, a fund designed to assist emerging entrepreneurs in excelling in fashion, beauty, and home brands. In addition to Kamath, Kishore Biyani, founder of Future Group, Ananth Narayanan, founder of Mensa Brands, and Raj Shamani, founder of House of X and Figuring Out Podcast, will be participating in the initiative.

Founders Aadit Palecha and Kaivalya Vohra of Zepto inspired Kamath to set up a fund for young entrepreneurs.

Meanwhile, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, reclaimed the top spot on the list with a net worth of $92 billion. He named his three children as Reliance board members in August after Jio Financial Services listed as a separate entity, which has a joint venture with BlackRock for asset management.

In 2023, the combined wealth of India’s 100 richest was $799 billion. Check the list of India’s 50 top richest 2023 and their contribution towards India’s GDP.
