IMD Issue Heatwave Warnings, Delhi heatwave forecast Temperature Rise to 42 degrees

Delhi is bracing for a spell of heatwave conditions in the coming week, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting an upward thrust in temperatures on April 7 and 8. As per Delhi heatwave forecast, the temperature expected to reach between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius. Alongside Delhi, the IMD also issued heatwave warnings for numerous north Indian states, which includes Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh, for the coming week.

For Saturday, the forecast for Delhi consists of strong floor winds and remoted heatwave conditions in some regions. On Friday, Delhi recorded a highest temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius, which was 4.4 degrees above the every day, while the minimum stood at 18.8 degrees Celsius, per the MeT branch.

According to the local city centre in New Delhi, a heatwave is probably to prevail in the national capital from April 5 to April 8.

  • On April 5, most temperatures are expected to lie between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, whilst minimal temperatures may also continue to be between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius.
  • On April 6, the warmth may also accentuate slightly, with highest among 39 and 41 degrees Celsius and minimums among 19 and 21 degrees Celsius.
  • The temperature is anticipated to upward push similarly on April 7, achieving highest of 40 to 42 degrees Celsius and minimums of 20 to 22 degrees Celsius.
  • The same temperature pattern is probably to be retained on April 8, with highs between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius and lows starting from 21 to 23 degrees Celsius. While the daytime heatwave condition is anticipated to persist at some point in the period, no heat nighttime condition is probably at some point during this time.
  • On April 9 and 10, the highest temperatures are in all expected to lie between 39 to 41 degrees Celsius.

IMD predicts heatwave in few states

As per Delhi heatwave forecast , Heatwave conditions are persist in remoted wallets of Saurashtra and Kutch, south Haryana, Delhi, and west Uttar Pradesh from April 5 to April 9. Himachal Pradesh may also experience similar conditions from April 5 to April 7. Heatwave situations are also anticipated in Punjab and Gujarat place from April 6 to April 9, west Rajasthan from April 5 to April 10, east Rajasthan from April 6 to April 10, and west Madhya Pradesh from April 7 to April 10.
