More than 1 crore devotees are expected to attend the Kumbh Mela’s final Amrit Snan on Wednesday on Mahashivratri. UP Government has tightens the security arrangements to handle the massive number of pilgrims on last day of Kumbh. Till now, there are around Nearly 64 crore devotees have visit Kumbh and take holy dip in Triveni Sangam, that is confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers. The Maha Kumbh Mela started on 13 January. There are a total five Amrit Snans till date, 13, 14, 29 January, 3 and 12 February.
Special arrangements for Kumbh Mela’s final Amrit Snan
There are heavier rush of devotees seem on the way to Prayagraj. Due to this, the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela has become the largest congregation in human history because all trains, flights and road routes are rushed. This is why authorities has make the special arrangements for convenience of devotees to take Holy dip on Mahashivratri ( 26 Feb).
The authorities have designed the Phaphamau Ghat for pilgrims come from Pratapgarh and Lucknow. They reserved the Arail Ghat for devotees comes from Rewan, Banda, Chitrakoot and Mirzapur. Sangam Ghat is reserved for devotees come from Kaushambi
40 teams of Police on Motorbikes on duty
The authorities have make the special arrangements for Kumbh Mela’s final Amrit Snan. No vehicles are allowed to enter the Mela area. 40 teams of police on motorbikes are on duty on major highways and routes head to Prayagraj. They also create diversions for safe and smooth traffic flow. Inspector General level officers and Director General are also deployed on seven road routes connects to Prayagraj.
As last day of Kumbh coincides with Mahashivratri, devotees are allow to visit all the Shiva temples in the city. So, additional police personnel are deployed there to maintain law and order.
