Zoho, the homegrown tech giant, is in the news for a good reason. Its instant messaging app, Arattai, recently received major support from the government. This led to an increase in app downloads. Now, the company has officially entered the digital payments space by launching its own line of point-of-sale (POS) devices.
These new devices were introduced at the ongoing Global Fintech Fest. Zoho offers a variety of options, including an all-in-one POS device, a smart POS device, and a static QR code with a sound box.
Zoho New POS devices features
Zoho’s payment terminal is flexible and supports 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. Merchants can accept payments through chip cards, UPI, and QR codes with this machine.
The CEO of Zoho Payments said that this is a natural extension for the company, which began its payment solution in 2024. While it started as a software-based service, the company has expanded to provide online payment support across various devices.
Integrated accounting and payment tracking
Now, with the introduction of hardware, Zoho is linking its payment terminals with its existing suite of business tools. Since Zoho provides all the necessary tools for managing small businesses, this support will be directly available on the payment terminal. This means merchants can access everything from real-time payment tracking to complete accounting in one place.
Also, a unified dashboard lets retailers and merchants easily view all information about payments and billing. For added security, Zoho is PCI DSS certified.
