Realme Launches GT8 and GT8 Pro in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite and 7,000mAh Batteries

Realme released the GT8 Pro in China. The standout feature is the Ricoh-tuned 50-megapixel main camera, which is part of a triple rear camera setup. The GT 8 Pro’s custom design allows users to change out the camera islands for a new look. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Extreme Edition chipset, with options for up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

Realme GT8 Pro launched

The Realme GT 8 Pro offers a different take on smartphone design. Its camera module can be swapped out, secured by two Torx screws and guided by magnets for easy attachment. Realme plans to provide various camera island designs, including square, round, and even robot-themed options, available through official stores.

The company is also encouraging people to join a creative contest by submitting 3D-printed designs, offering a 3MF model file in partnership with MakerWorld.

The triple camera setup on the GT 8 Pro comes from Realme’s new collaboration with Ricoh. The Ricoh-tuned 50-megapixel main camera has a 1/1.56-inch sensor and an f/1.8 aperture lens. It supports Ricoh GR’s renowned focal lengths of 28mm and 40mm full-frame equivalents.

Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Extreme Edition chipset

The Realme GT8 Pro features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Extreme Edition chipset. Users can select configurations with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The device includes Realme’s custom R1 graphics chip for better gaming and graphics. Despite housing a large 7,000mAh battery, the GT 8 Pro remains slim at 8.2mm, making it thinner than its predecessor. It supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
