The Pakistani army perform unprovoked Pak cross border firing throughout the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, in areas contrary Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri and Akhnoor. Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire on the 14th consecutive day. 13 people, consisting of 4 children and a soldier, killed as the Pakistan military executed shelling in response to India’s Operation Sindoor.
“During the night time of May 7-8, 2025, Pakistan Army posts resorted to unprovoked fire using Small Arms and Artillery Guns across the LoC in areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri and Akhnoor regions in J&K. Indian Army replied,” study a declaration from the Indian Army.
Pak cross border firing day after Operation Sindoor
The unprovoked firing comes a day after India released the Pahalgam counterstrike ‘Operation Sindoor’. India carried out 24 precision missile strikes on 9 terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) on Wednesday (May 7) early morning. The 9 terror camps have been strongholds of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM).
The Op Sindoor began at 1:05 am and lasted for 25 minutes, killing 70 terrorists and injuring 60. The strikes held in response to the fear attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam wherein 26 civilians killed, together with a Nepali national.
Pakistan aggression on India
Pakistan military spoke back with one of the most extreme artillery and mortar shelling in years concentrated on forward villages along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.
