Several parts of the national capital will experience a water supply disruption for two days. This is due to a shutdown related to infrastructure work at the Dwarka Water Treatment Plant in Delhi.
In a public notice shared on social media, the water utility explained that the disruption results from interconnection work involving a new 1,500 mm diameter dual raw water pipeline in the BhagyaVihar area. This new line connect to the existing twin raw water main at the Dwarka Water Treatment Plant, necessitating a temporary halt in supply.

The notice states that the water supply affected for a total of 48 hours, from February 25 to February 27. Residents in the impacted areas advised to store enough water in advance. Areas expected to affect include many residential colonies and villages across southwest Delhi and nearby areas.

Dwarka Sub City, Mahavir Enclave, Vijay Enclave, Uttam Nagar group of colonies, Pochanpur, Bharthal, Amberahi village, MadhuVihar, SagarPur, KailashPuri, Durga Park, ManglaPuri, Raj Nagar Phase I and II, Bagdola village, Bijwasan, Dhulsiras, BindaPur, Sewak Park, Bharat Vihar, SitaPuri, Raja Puri, Jiwan Park, Indra Park, Milap Nagar, Chanakya Place, Arjun Park, LaxmiVihar, Bajrang Enclave, Maksudabad, Naya Bazar, and more.
The Delhi Jal Board also announced that water tankers deployed at several locations during this shutdown. Residents can reach out to designated helpline numbers for tanker services. Details shared by the agency.
