A disturbing video showing a BJP Leader beating a woman with a stick in Sidhi district, Madhya Pradesh widely shared on social media on Sunday.
BJP leader Santosh Pathak accused of assaulting a woman in the Sihawal Assembly constituency of MP. The reason for the attack is unclear, and there has been no official statement yet.
BJP Leader beat women with sticks in Sidhi
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president JituPatwari spoke out about the incident on his official X account. He strongly criticized the BJP.
In his post, he wrote, “PM Modi talked about Beti Padhao, BetiBachao, but forgot to mention that daughters need protection from BJP leaders. Today in Sidhi, a woman brutally beaten with a stick by a BJP leader.”
He continued, “Incidents of assault against women by BJP leaders are rising across the state. Drunk on power, BJP thugs have started attacking the women of the state.” He concluded, “Now these very women will respond by voting these BJP leaders out of power.”
PCC chief seeks immediate FIR
Patwari also addressed Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who oversees the Home portfolio, stating that it is his duty to ensure women’s safety and that he has failed. He demanded that an FIR filed against the accused BJP leader and called for strict action in the case.
