A blast was reported out of doors the house of Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Manoranjan Kalia in early hours of Tuesday, as per reports. The BJP leader is reportedly safe. Police teams have been rushed to Kalia’s house following the incident. Forensic professionals had been also visible collecting evidence from the blast site. Speaking about the incident, Kalia stated, “There was a blast at around 1 am…I was snoozing, and I idea that it was the sound of thunder…Later I was knowledgeable that a blast had taken location…After this, I sent my gunman to the police station…CCTV is being investigated; forensic experts also are gift here.” Jalandhar deputy commissioner of police, Manpreet Singh, said the forensic teams will study the evidence and publish a report.
Commissioner of police, Dhanpreet Kaur, inspected the site of the blast. “Around 1 am, we were given facts of blast here. After which we reached the spot and started the investigation. The forensic group is investigating the problem…We are also monitoring the CCTV. The forensic group is investigating whether it’s a grenade attack or something else,” she stated.
