Hyderabad City Civil Court obtained a bomb threat in the early morning hours today. Bomb squad and other officers are conducting a search of the court premises.
“Hyderabad city civil court received a bomb threat mail today in the early morning hours at 3:15 am. The officials noticed it at 11 am and informed us. The bomb squad and other officials are accomplishing a search of the court premises. So a ways, not anything has been found. We will offer further info later,” said Inspector of Mirchowk police station.
Veraval court and Hyderabad City Civil Court receives bomb threat e-mail
A district court in Veraval in Gujarat’s Gir Somnath district receives bomb threat e mail on Monday, 7 July, threatening to blow it up, even though it was out to be a hoax as nothing suspicious was observed following a thorough search of the premises, a police official stated. Bomb squad and teams arrives
“The bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) and a dog squad searched the premises. Nothing suspicious was observed. Further investigations at Hyderabad City Civil Court are going on,” Deputy Superintendent of Police VR Khengar said.
Officials said the checking through BDDS and canine squad of the premises and search operations in the location lasted for almost an hour and then the court complex was reopened.
The incident comes almost a month after a similar threat e-mail to explode the Gujarat High Court disrupted its functioning. The state has witnessed an growth in the number of cases of emails threatening to blow up faculties and hotels, and so on, officers pointed out.
