Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana today, a unique scheme to help the health and financial requirements of old person of 70+ age. While inaugurating the scheme, she highlighted the government’s dedication and offering them quality healthcare and financial security. The scheme will provide old age person health coverage, pension, and easy access to medical centers in the town.
Eligibility for Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana
The Ayushman Bharat Health Card is a central authority-approved card that offers healthcare assistance to selected families. It provide them with financial safety from the heavy medical fees.
“Every individual who is above 70 years of age gets the benefit of this scheme. Only things are required: first, you need to be a resident of Delhi, and second, and carry Aadhar card. Registration starts today, and as soon as your card made, you get treatment in hospitals registered under this scheme, both in Delhi and across the country. Congratulations to all of you for this scheme.”
Benefits Of Health Card for Old age person

- No payment is made at the time of receiving hospital treatment
Under the scheme, about 6.54 lakh of the poorest families in Delhi could be given health cover of up to Rs 5 lakh. Significantly, 4.5 lakh households with people above the age of 70, a number of whom already to be eligible for cover based on their financial condition, will also be covered. The Delhi government will provide an extra cover of Rs 5 lakh to the qualified candidates.
