The owner of the nightclub in Goa, where a fire killed 25 people, expressed his sorrow on Monday. Saurabh Luthra took to Instagram and posted a story stating, “The management expresses profound grief and is deeply shaken by the tragic loss of lives resulting from the unfortunate incident at Birch.”

As the investigation into the fire continues, Luthra promised to provide every possible form of assistance and support to those affected. He added, “In this hour of irreparable sorrow and overwhelming distress, the management stands in unwavering solidarity with the families of the deceased and those injured. We convey our heartfelt condolences with utmost sincerity.”

What led to the deadly nightclub fire? 

At least 20 staff members and five tourists lost their lives after a fire broke out at Birch by Romeo Lane in Goa. A video captured the moment the fire ignited at the club, showing a woman belly-dancing to music played by a band while flames appeared from the ceiling.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire. Eyewitnesses have claimed that the use of cold pyro guns during dance performances may have sparked the blaze.
