India Lights Holika Bonfires Amid Middle East Tensions

West Asia remains tense following the coordinated strikes on Iran by the US and Israel, that results in the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei last week. In the midst of this conflict, Indian actor and producer Priyanka Chopra shared a message of hope while also recognizing the festival of Holi in a thoughtful way. On her Instagram Story, Priyanka Chopra posted a picture of Holika Dahan, drawing attention to the current unrest in the Middle East.

“There’s a lot awareness around the world. It’s hard. It’s heavy. But light has a way of showing us the way. Here’s to the triumph of good over evil. #HolikaDahan,” she wrote.

Actor Vivek Oberoi, also in Dubai, shared a message on X urging people not to spread unverified information.
