An incident as dramatic as a scene from a movie occurred in Bajaj Nagar, Jaipur where a daylight robbery happened with unexpected twists. A woman shopping in the area was robbed in plain sight on the streets of Barkat Nagar.
CCTV footage from a road camera captured the entire sequence. In the video, the woman is seen carrying her handbag while holding a folded jacket.
CCTV Shows How Woman Dropped Cash on Road in Jaipur
The footage shows two women crossing the busy road. One of them tries to put on her folded jacket and accidentally drops a bundle of cash without realizing it. She keeps walking. Two men on a bike passing by notice the fallen bundle. A short distance ahead, they stop their bike, pick up the money, and speed away right in front of the woman.
Moments later, she realizes the cash is missing and immediately begins chasing the bikers. However, her efforts are in vain as the duo quickly revs up the bike and disappears.
Two thieves on bike took 50K
SHO Poonam Chaudhary explained that the woman and her daughter had come to Jaipur for wedding shopping. While crossing the crowded road in Barkat Nagar and trying to put on her jacket, the bundle containing ₹50,000 slipped out unnoticed.
The thieves took advantage of the situation and grabbed the cash from the road. Although the woman tried to chase the biker after realizing what had happened, the heavy traffic made it impossible for her to catch him, and he vanished quickly.
