His comments came as opposition parties increased their attacks on the BJP-led government after the National Testing Agency (NTA) canceled the medical entrance exam due to a significant leak.

At a press conference, the AamAadmi Party (AAP) chief noted that recurring paper leaks had shaken the confidence of students. He questioned whether previous investigations by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had led to strict punishments for those involved.

Why was NEET-UG 2026 canceled?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) canceled the NEET-UG examination, which took place on May 3, following reports that questions worth nearly 600 marks had allegedly leaked before the test. The exam occurred in 551 cities across India and 14 cities abroad through more than 5,400 centers, with about 22 lakh students taking part.

The situation escalated after investigators revealed what officials called a nationwide organized network that included coaching centers, hostel operators, impersonators, and paper solvers.
