On Wednesday, PM Modiencouraged the public to participate in the Guru Charan Yatra,’ a spiritual pilgrimage starting from New Delhi and going to Gurudwara Patna Sahib in Bihar. He hopes that this journey will strengthen people’s connections to the revered teachings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Mata Sahib Kaur Ji.
Modi invites devotees join Guru Charan Yatra
In a message on platform X, Modi invited those living along the route to see the sacred ‘Jore Sahib,’ the beloved sandals of Guru Gobind Singh and his wife, Mata Sahib Kaur. The Charan Suhawa Yatra will display these holy relics, which have been cared for by Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s family for over three hundred years, at various stops for Sangat Darshan.
Enhance spiritual importance
The ceremonial activities began with Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri’s family offering ‘ardas’ before handing over the Jore Sahib to the Panth. Devotees can view the relics at Gurdwara Moti Bagh Sahib in New Delhi before the yatra starts on October 23. It concludes at Takht Sri Patna Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh, on November 1.
The procession will include several important stops, following Sikh spiritual guidelines and providing chances for community involvement. Guru Charan Yatra is more anticipated by the global Sikh community due to its profound spiritual importance.
