National Lok Adalat 2025 is conducts today on 8 March, from 10 am to 4 PM. Lok Adalat called as “People Court” is a vital dispute resolution mechanism in India. Moreover, it also play vital role to resolve pending cases in courts or pre litigation disputes, include traffic challans. It also gives an efficient and swift resolution process and reduces the burden on traditional courts. It makes it a good option for citizens who want to resolve their matters timely.
The Lok Adalat 2025 is schedule in various courts in delhi, include Dwarka Court, Karkardooma Court, Patiala House Court, Rohini Court, Rouse Avenue Court, Saket Court, and Tis Hazari Court.
Types of disputes settle in Lok Adalat
- Traffic police challans or notices.
- All compoundable challans/notices pending till November 30, 2024.
- Criminal compoundable offences.
- Cheque dishonour cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
- Money recovery cases.
- Motor accident claims cases (MACT).
- Labour dispute cases, electricity and water bill cases.
- Matrimonial disputes (except divorce).
- Land acquisition cases.
- Services matters relating to pay allowances and retiral benefits.
- Revenue cases (pending in District courts and High Courts only).
- Other civil cases
Who is able to settle the traffic challans
You can easily settle the pending traffic challans, include those give to commercial vehicles by the Notice Branch or those payable on the Delhi Traffic Police portal till November 30, 2024. Only challans that are compounded will be accepted. Meanwhile, the challans that are unable to paid, sent to Regular, Evening, or Digital Courts. The challans that are rejected by the court are not settled in Lok Adalat.
